11.12.2008Anyway, should be get into this and talk about male junk?
Lets!
Two nights ago Gentry was complaining that he hurt down where his leg attaches to his body, which is also like where his male parts are. I try to pretend those are not there and pay them as little attention as possible. I mean. I wash them at night and I make sure they are aiming for the toilet during the day, but for the rest of the time I pretend Gentry looks like a Kenn Doll down there. So he complained about the pain for the rest of the day and was incredibly sensitive to bending or me holding him and would put his knees between us if I was holding him.
Last night JJ, who also has junk, was inspecting the soarness and noticed that Gentry was swollen. I really think I would not have noticed as I am of the you-need-privacy-I-am-not-looking-bunch. He has one swollen testicle and is swollen up inside a little bit as well. JJ is familiar with that sort of thing (very familiar if you know what I mean), I on the other hand know about function but not about well much else, including what it should look like normally. I guess I better get familiar.
Anyway, so we took Gentry to his doctor who sent us up to Primary Childrens. They did an ultrasound and thought it was a hernia, but when the surgeon came to examine him he thought it was epididymitis which you can learn about here and here.
This morning we are facing either a round of anti-biotics (I think) or a small surgery to fix a frisky bowel. Either way, things are not life threatening. But it is so hard for me to watch them put him under and try to fix things manually. Even just listening to them talk about this makes me want to throw up, as the entire time I am just trying to breath and not make a bigger mess.
Off we go to the hospital for a long day of male unit manipulation. I hope your day is as fun as ours.
